xkcd store verbal diarrhea

link:
http://xkcdsucks.blogspot.com/2010/02/xkcd-store-update.html

Oh no, he takes some rather great graphic illustrations, and sell them as posters, which there probably is a big demand for! Karl Marx was right, surely this must be a sign of the imminent demise of the screwed up capitalistic system.

Ok, good point about the Radiohead thing. That was indeed lame.

But then you go and forget to mention that the whole Primer graph was one big rip-off!

Comic 703: Lame critique is lame critique

link:
http://xkcdsucks.blogspot.com/2010/02/comic-703-title-of-post.html

Who cares if the honor society isn't a perfect tautology in all cases. In many ways it is, and that's really enough for a comic, isn't it? Jesus.

Also, who cares if comments about "if x joins my facebook group" were bigger some years ago. How is that even relevant?

Just say it like it is:
It is like this.

702: I have heard of annoying criticism

link:
http://xkcdsucks.blogspot.com/2010/02/placeholder.html

Lame critique of the knight movement. It's a knight, the chess piece. A real knight moving as a chess piece would just be stupid.

"On a scale of one "meh" to five, I rate this comic the wholly unremarkable number of three."
What the hell does this even mean? Is that better or worse than 2 mehs? Obviously, if you are only rating the comics in a scala of mehs, you will never like them. And this is one is actually quite good.

693: Suspension of ability to enjoy things

http://xkcdsucks.blogspot.com/2010/01/comic-693-suspension-of-belief.html

This one exemplifies everything I hate about xkcd sucks. Yes, the subject for the comic has been seen before. But it's an angle I haven't heard of before, and is actually quite interesting. What is that you want, for xkcd to invent a brand new topic for humour with every single comic? That's a serious question. It sounds to me like that is what you want.

Also, your beloved Dinosaur comic could easily make a similar joke, it would just be wrapped in a wall of text, and only lame dinosaurs to look at.

xkcd sucks: it's boring, bitches.

Science can't be cool, if it moves along at a realistic speed? Is that what you are saying. Because otherwise I don't understand what you are saying. Also, you could be more succinct.

And again, with the critic of the theme. Who cares if it's an old topic for humour? I get the feeling, that if you are watching a comedy with Carl, he will be sitting the whole time "Oh, a relationship joke. THATS original."

661: Learning from xkcd sucks

http://xkcdsucks.blogspot.com/2009/11/well-once-again-we-learn-that-xkcd-is.html

Kudos to xkcd sucks for this one. They point out the true flaws in the strip, suggest an alternative thats far superior. And on top of that they point out the curious fact that all the smarter / better characters in xkcd are women. And the whole editing post was great too. This is what I come to the site for.
